As enthusiasts take in the sights, they’ll be treated to music from seven bands performing on the street, including CJ Lee, Alfie Smith and Nicole Christian, Voodoo Pawn Shop and Boomerang. The event, sponsored by MacMaster Buick GMC, Orangeville Chrysler and Davenports Auto Parts, will feature more than 300 classic cars lining Broadway. The Blues Cruise on Broadway kicks things off at 5 p.m. Here’s a rundown of what will happen each day: Throughout the entire weekend, there will be live music featured in more than 20 clubs, restaurants and venues throughout town as part of the festival.Įven the Orangeville Public Library will be getting in on the fun, hosting special performer workshops throughout the weekend. There are some new features for this year’s festival, including the TD Broadway Stage on Broadway, which will feature acts on all three days of the festival. Set to take over three days - June 3 through 5 - there will be a variety of events for festivalgoers to partake in, ranging from a classic car show to a New Orleans style jazz march, live street performances to main stage events.
“We are very excited to announce this year’s 18th festival which will feature over 75 acts on four stages in local pubs and restaurants, plus several bands performing on the streets throughout the weekend as part of our special events,” said Larry Kurtz, festival founder and artistic director.
While organizers had previously announced the popular festival’s return earlier this year, the lineup of artists and events was just revealed Thursday. Live music will fill Orangeville’s downtown core over three days in June with the return of the 18th annual Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival.
